Welcome National Conference of Tuberculosis

Dear Dignitaries and Delegates,

It gives us immense pleasure and pride to invite you to the 74th National conference of TB and Chest diseases to be held in the vibrant city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India from 21-22 December 2019.

This mega event will serve as a platform for various professionals and experts in the field of Tuberculosis and chest diseases to share their knowledge and join hands in the fight against Tuberculosis with goal towards Eliminating TB from India by 2025.

This year the conference is being jointly organised by Anti TB Association of Tamilnadu under the aegis of Tuberculosis Association of India & Government Hospital of Thoracic Medicine, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai.

Government Hospital of Thoracic medicine, Tambaram sanatorium is one of the oldest institutions in this country started in 1928 and spearheading the fight against Tuberculosis from the prechemotherapy era and the site where the domiciliary treatment of Tuberculosis originated. Today it is a 760 bedded hospital serving as a nodal centre for treatment of all forms of Tuberculosis including the drug resistant forms and serving as a centre of excellence for TB & HIV care.

The local partners for organising this conference include Association of Pulmonologists of Tamilnadu and Anti TB Association of Puducherry.

    Purpose

Instructions for oral/poster presentations

1. First author of the oral presentation should reach the hall 30 minutes before the respective sessions.

2. PPT slides for oral presentation should be submitted to preview room 2 hours before the respective session.

3. First slide should include the name of the topic, name of the authors, institution name and registration number

4. Time for presentation is 8 minutes and discussion is for 2 minutes

5. Time schedule should be strictly adhered to. Those who cross the prescribed time limit projector will get switched off.

6. E poster specifications : Jpeg format of Size 2.5ft x 4ft in vertical (softcopy) to be followed.

7. Please be present near your allotted poster stand 30 minutes before the scheduled time and display the poster.

8. Presenter should remain near the poster during the allotted time for the judges to complete evaluation

9. Please co-operate with the volunteers for the proper conduct of the session
